Secondary educational instruction is provided from Grade 9 to 12. Secondary pathways are determined on an individual basis. Our main focus has been geared towards the School-to-Work pathway.
The basic philosophy of the Secondary School is to permit each student to pursue courses that are appropriate for his or her level of development and achievement, in accordance with the Individual Education Plan (IEP) developed for the student in the beginning of the semester.
Special Needs
Programs are offered for Secondary Deaf students with special needs. The Secondary School includes a “School to Work” pathway with work experience opportunities. Programs are also offered for Deaf children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The program is available to those students identified with special needs and who will benefit from an ASL environment.
Classes in Integrated Settings
Integration opportunities with interpreter support are offered at the neighbouring John Paul II Catholic High School.
